Hi everyone we hope you’re all enjoying a cosy Christmas break, as we are after such a hectic work schedule that we’ve had, at this time of year. We are usually very busy during the winter months, but the demand for stove installation this year, has dramatically risen with the energy price increases of recent times, & our sales have exceeded our expectations, thanks to you all for your follows, shares & recommendations. It’s Christmas Eve Here’s A Stove Owners Guide To Keeping Santa Safe This Christmas HoHoHo 🎅🏼🤶🏻🎄✨ At this time of year, we’re often asked what impact having a wood-burning stove in your home has on Santa Claus’ ability to deliver to you on Christmas Eve. While there are subtle differences in comparison to a traditional open fireplace, the good news is that it’s quite easy to be a considerate wood-burning stove owner when it comes to keeping Father Christmas’ interests in mind. The list First things first, putting your Christmas wish list on a stove will work in exactly the same way as an open fireplace. You can expect any lists that have been put inside your stove to be delivered directly to the North Pole. Stockings and decorations Keep in mind that you shouldn’t hang stockings, tinsel or other decorations too close to your stove. Keep them as far away from your stove as you would keep them from an open fire. Temperature Remember to let your stove go out at a reasonable hour on Christmas Eve. Using your fireplace and a sprinkle of Christmas magic to send a list of the things you would like for Christmas is a time-honoured tradition. If you’re used to sending your letter to Santa on an open fire (where you presumably also roasted your chestnuts), then you might have some concerns over using your woodburner. Here’s our suggested method for sending a letter to Santa Claus using a wood-burning stove. 1. The burning question hohoho 🎅🏼🤶🏻🎄🎁✨ One of the biggest concerns raised by our customers before they buy wood-burning stoves from us is whether Santa Claus will be able to get down a wood-burning stove flue pipe to deliver Christmas presents. Obviously, a woodburner is a lovely addition to any home, but would you want to install one at the expense of having presents to open on Christmas morning? Probably not. The good news is that, despite the difficulties that might be presented to Father Christmas, he is perfectly capable of delivering presents via a stove flue pipe. Indeed he has been successfully delivering to homes with woodburners for centuries. Woodburners are currently enjoying a significant resurgence, but they have been used to heat homes for hundreds of years. Although most flues are between five and eight inches in diameter, Santa will still be able to access any property with a woodburner. Many modern homes that have gas fires or open fireplaces with masonry flues will have access of a similar diameter. Many newer properties have no chimney breast or fireplace at all, and Santa is still able to deliver to those. Our understanding is that, given his previous record of getting stuck in open fireplace chimneys, Santa now prefers to uses his magic powers to squeeze himself into even homes with unlined chimneys to avoid any mishaps so those with wood-burning stoves are no different .
